Why Ghostwriter Grant?
Ghostwriter Grant consists of a team of three Christian brothers: Grant, Hilton, and Bradley. Grant is the CEO of the company and chose the name on the basis of its alliterative strength. Grant manages the website and finds the right ghostwriter to fit the specific enquiries received.
How can ghostwriting help me?
Whether you present a ghostwriter with an idea, a framework of concepts, or a manuscript, an experienced ghostwriter will help you to present a well-polished document to publishers. Ghostwriter Grant consists of a team of three Christian brothers who are devoted to the furtherance of God’s kingdom. One of our expert ghostwriters will also help you target the most suitable audience, while avoiding the many pitfalls that may cause a publisher to simply pass on your manuscript. A good ghostwriter could be the difference between your manuscript being accepted by a publisher or you receiving a rejection letter. Good ghostwriters know what publishers are looking for and can help you over all the difficult hurdles that usually relegate manuscripts to the publishing slush pile. Good writing is generally a mixture of diligence and experience. Ghostwriter Grant will listen to your needs, examine your existing material or idea, and discuss your target demographic. One of our expert ghostwriters will then hone in on what sets your manuscript apart and we will start crafting your masterpiece from there.
What are the benefits of working with Ghostwriter Grant (a Christian Ghostwriter?)
We’re a team of Christian ghostwriter brothers who are devoted to advancing God’s kingdom.
We strive for impeccable scriptural and ethical integrity in all our projects.
Having grown up with a firsthand appreciation of both the joys and difficulties encountered within Christian ministry, we have an experiential understanding of how to fine-tune ministry publications. Firsthand experience allows us to more honestly reflect the wide range of aspects linked to Christian living.
Our experiential knowledge of Christian living introduces an enhanced understanding of exactly what it is you are trying to project. A secular ghostwriter would not have the same in-depth comprehension of Christian living.
We rely on the Holy Spirit for our inspiration.
Once we agree to work with you, your message becomes a part of our daily prayer life; we ask the Holy Spirit to keep your message aligned with God’s Word through our writing.
We address any doctrinal inconsistencies up front to ensure the writing process will not be derailed.
What is Ghostwriter Grant’s ghostwriting process?
Preliminary process…
I sign a non-disclosure agreement so you feel completely safe sharing your idea.
I send you a short survey, regarding the Christian ghostwriting process, that gives me an idea of your main message, underlying themes, target audience, and other details.
We discuss your book idea in detail and decide on an appropriate number for the word count – usually about fifty thousand words for a first time author.
We discuss whether or not you have a manuscript available, and what (if any) notes, and/or audio clips you already have for us to start developing.
We discuss a timeline, budget, and payment structure.
When we have a good idea of our goals, I write up a proposal that includes pricing, timeline, and payment schedule. The contract we enter into offers our clients excellent legal protection.
Writing process…
When our agreement is signed and the deposit clears, we begin working on your book.
If we have some notes, I work from them and communicate via email with any questions I have. If we are working from an idea alone, we conduct a series of in-person meetings or teleconferences to clarify the details of the book and the intended outcome. (Please note that if there is no manuscript or minimal notes, the client has significant responsibility to work with us to provide material to ensure we can most accurately communicate their idea).
I begin writing and provide updates every Friday. We discuss and make revisions accordingly (progress is highly dependent on your responsiveness at this point).
We repeat this process until we have a good draft.
Once we have a solid draft, we make any final touches to render it a complete work.
If we’re submitting to a publishing house, I include a proposal letter free of charge, expertly written. If a more in-depth publishers’ proposal is required, this service is included at the price-per-word we have agreed upon for the ghostwriting project.
What is the typical cost for ghostwriting a book? Ghostwriting (or editing if that’s all you need) can range between (US$) 10¢ per word and 50¢ per word, depending on what you present to us. A well written manuscript that simply needs tweaking, formatting, and polishing will cost a lot less than, for example, a concept you have roughly outlined, from which a ghostwriter is expected to first craft a framework and then fill it in with the nuts and bolts of your message. The amount of research a ghostwriter must do for a project also has a bearing on cost.
What’s your typical availability?
When following up on an enquiry, we will inform you of our availability status. Because we are a team of ghostwriters, we can often manage a shorter lead-time when this is called for. If a shorter lead-time is not possible, we will offer you the quickest solution available or refer you to Überwriters, an affiliated Christian ghostwriting company with whom we collaborate on many projects.
From our first conversation, when do you actually start writing?
See our Christian ghostwriting process above. Typically, the moment an initial deposit clears in our account, the writing process begins.
What if I need something in a rush?
We charge a 50% rush fee, dependent on our availability. With three writers on staff we will usually find a way to make it happen. If we’re not busy, the percentage may be negotiated.
What are your rates and how do you bill?
We prefer to charge by project. The rate typically depends on word count, what (if any) notes are already available, and how much research it entails. This simply means instead of racking up hourly rates, we’ll give you one low price at the initial proposal. If there are any changes to the initial scope, the extra time is outlined in a change-order, and is typically based on additional word count. All scope changes are approved in writing by you. Contact us for a proposal.
How do you invoice?
For our Christian ghostwriting projects, we typically invoice at three milestones: one third of cost due at signing, one third of cost due at the halfway mark of the projected word count, then the final third at the submission of a first draft.
What are your business hours?
For meetings, Skype discussions (teleconferences), and telephone calls, I am available from 10am to 5pm, Monday through Friday, South Africa Time Zone (UTC+02:00) OR (GMT+02:00). For international clients on a very different time zone I make exceptions to accommodate for the time difference.
What ways do you communicate with your clients?
Primarily by Email, Skype, or FaceTime.
Do you write in British or American English?
We are skilled at emulating your voice, meaning we write in the type of English you require from us. All three ghostwriters are fully proficient in both British and American English.
